SOJAC July Trial

A Notice to all Competitors considering entering upcoming summer trials at Premier Sports Center:

Premiums are being prepared for trials in June & July at the Premier Sports Center in Southampton, NJ. Please read this important information.

Due to Covid-19: The settlement date for the Center and subsequent HVAC improvements (which have already been designed) have been delayed.

For these first trials, we will most likely have to rely on the climate control system that is there now. If we get a hot weekend, it may be warm in the arenas in the afternoons.

· There is a 2000 square foot air conditioned club house where we will attempt to crate entered dogs only! Please note that once the HVAC improvements are completed, there will be plenty of room to crate on the turf fields and crating will not be limited to just entered dogs.

Also due to pandemic, no unentered persons or dogs will be allowed inside the building. Please bring a copy of your confirmation or have it available on your cell or tablet for proof of entry as you may be asked to present this.

For these first 3 summer trials we will be using 2 rings but are limiting runs to 350 per day with just 1 judge. The ring not being judged will be open for walking for a longer period so that the amount of people walking together can be limited.

MASKS MUST BE WORN when walking courses or while in the clubhouse crating area. Masks will not be required when running your dog, warming up your dog, or when outside the building. Volunteer workers may also be required to wear a mask. These requirements may change based on the NJ governor’s guidelines at the time of the trial. Masks may be required at all times inside the building except when warming up and running your dog. Please read final confirmations for definite mask rules.

Volunteer workers will receive chances to win baskets, Gift cards, and worker bucks, however, no food or beverages will be offered.

Competitors will need to bring their own food and beverages for themselves and their canine partners. There will be no food or beverages available for purchase and there will not be a hospitality table.

HEIGHT CARDS & MEASURING: There MAY be an Official Measurer at this trial, if there is then ALL DOGS REGARDLESS OF THEIR JUMP HEIGHT without a height card or valid temporary measurement slip will have to be measured. For more information about measuring CLICK HERE.

From Philadelphia: From the Ben Franklin bridge, take RT 30 E/Route 676 S exit on left toward RT 130/38/70/Cherry Hill/Camden Waterfront. Continue onto US-30 E (keep left). From Phila Airport: Keep left towards I-76, PA 291E. Keep right onto Penrose Ave. Keep right towards I-76 W, Valley Forge. Keep left onto PA-291 E toward I-76 W Valley Forge. Take a slight Right turn to merge onto I-76 E towards Walt Whitman Bridge. Take Exit 1B to merge onto RT 295 N towards NJ Turnpike Trenton. Take Exit 34A for NJ-70 E/Marlton Pike E/ W RT 70. From Commodore Barry Bridge: Merge onto US-130 N toward I-295 N. Continue on I-295 N. Keep right towards Trenton. Take exit 34A for NJ-70 E/Marlton Pike E/ W RT 70. Continue on NJ-70 E. Turn left onto Red Lion Rd. Turn left onto Eayrestown Rd. Turn right onto Coleman Ct.

From Trenton and locations North: take NJ-129 S. Keep left at fork. Merge onto NJ-129 S via ramp on left to I 195/ I 295 / Shore points / Camden. Take exit 1A-1B I 295 toward Camden / Princeton. Keep right to continue on Exit 1A. Merge onto I-295 S. Take exit 57a-57B. Merge onto US-130S toward Burlington. Turn left onto Kinkora Rd. Continue onto Hedding Rd. Turn right onto US-206 S. Turn right onto Ridge Rd. Turn left onto Red Lion Rd. Turn right onto Eayrestown Rd. Turn right onto Coleman Ct.

From NJ turnpike and North: head south on NJ Turnpike. Take exit 7 to merge onto US-206. Turn right onto Ridge Rd. Turn left onto Red Lion Rd. Turn right onto Eayrestown Rd. Turn right onto Coleman Ct.

From Shore Points and South: take Atlantic City Expressway W. Take exit 28. Merge onto NJ-54 N /12th St. toward Hammonton/Trenton. Merge onto NJ-54 N/12th St. Turn right onto Bellevue Ave. Continue onto US-206 N/Trenton Rd. At traffic circle, take 3rd exit onto NJ-70 W. Turn right onto County Rt 685. Continue onto Eayrestown Rd.
